Information You Submit
Terms Entered in Search Tools
A name, location, or other term entered into a search box is sent to the third-party company that operates the tool. We do not store or log those search terms on our own systems. The provider's policies govern its handling of the query.
Messages Sent to Us
If you send an email or use a contact form, we retain the message and return information long enough to respond and manage the exchange. We do not disclose a message outside our organization unless the law requires it.
Technical Data Collected Automatically
Ordinary server, analytics, and advertising systems may record technical details when a page loads. Those details can include:
- The network IP address used for the visit
- Browser name and version
- Device category and operating system
- Pages opened and time spent on them
- The referring website, when provided
- Date and time stamps for requests
Cookie Use
Cookies help measure how people use the site and support site or advertising functions. Most browsers allow cookies to be limited or blocked. Turning them off may cause some features to work differently.
Reasons We Use Data
- Operate the site and maintain reasonable speed
- Send a search request to the selected partner service
- Understand which pages visitors find useful
- Detect errors and correct technical problems
- Display advertising that may reflect visitor interests
Websites Beyond Our Control
Links may lead to Kerr County Sheriff's Office, Kerr County courts, the Texas Department of Criminal Justice, parole or probation resources, federal and immigration locators, release-record portals, and outside search providers. Once a visitor leaves this site, the destination's privacy terms apply.
Some advertising companies may measure activity across more than one website to select interest-based advertising. That processing occurs within their systems rather than ours.
Parties That May Receive Data
We do not sell personal information. Data may still be handled by service providers or disclosed where law requires it, including:
- Search partners that process submitted queries
- Analytics companies that measure site use
- Advertising networks that deliver or assess ads
- Law-enforcement or government authorities acting under a valid legal order
Requests for government-held Kerr release records are governed by the Texas Public Information Act, Government Code Chapter 552. That law governs the government record holder, not this private site's separate technical data.
Our Security Approach
We use customary administrative and technical safeguards suited to the information involved. No website, network, or internet transmission can be guaranteed secure. We therefore cannot promise that a breach or unauthorized access will never occur.
Visitors Younger Than Eighteen
This site is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If a minor submitted information, a parent or guardian may use Contact Us to request deletion.
Choices About Your Data
- Ask for a copy of personal data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate information
- Ask us to erase information where applicable
- Object to or opt out of certain processing where a right applies
A request may be subject to identity verification and legal exceptions.
Changes to This Notice
We may revise this privacy notice as practices or legal requirements change. A revision takes effect when the updated text and effective date are posted on this page.
