Official Records and Custody Contacts

Kerr County Sheriff's Office handles adult county jail custody and its own booking and release records. Administration posts weekday hours from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The jail line is the direct route for current physical-custody and magistration questions. Written records requests may use the records email, online request, fax, mail, or hand delivery.

The following routes direct each question to the system that controls it:

  • For a local release or KCSO release record, start with the complete Kerr County search and records path and use the KCSO contact above.
  • For continuing supervision, use Parole & Probation. Kerr CSCD is at 402 Clearwater Paseo, Suite 300, Kerrville, phone 830-896-2233. Posted hours are Monday through Thursday, 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Friday, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • For an official rolling-window alternative, see the 24-Hour Release List. Kerr does not advertise a distinct 24-hour feed, so the page explains timestamp-bounded KCSO requests.
  • For state date calculations or notifications, use Projected Release Date and VINELink Check.
  • For a facility-specific question, use Kerr County Jail or the restricted-access Kerr County Juvenile Facility page.
  • For a sentenced state prisoner, use the Texas Department of Criminal Justice locator at 936-295-6371 or its official offender search. TDCJ information requests may be directed through its published PIA channels.
  • For a federal prisoner, use the Bureau of Prisons locator. For immigration custody, use ICE ODLS. The U.S. Marshals Service handles federal pretrial movement but does not publish a comparable historical locator.

Parole and mandatory-supervision cases assigned from Kerr County go to San Antonio I District Parole Office, 2902 NE Loop 410, San Antonio, TX 78218, phone 210-564-3700. Court probation belongs with Kerr CSCD, not that parole office.
